About Me

                           Hi everyone! I'm Suchala Rugeeth a grade 12 student receiving my education from Mahanama College Colombo.

So basically, the purpose of this blog is to provide a broader understanding about myself to all the readers who interact with this blog, and some of my hobbies and other interests will also be contained here. 

As I mentioned above, I'm Suchala, a 17 year old teenager from the 2027 AL batch receiving my education from the arts stream. The subjects that I've selected for an ambitious future are, 1. English Literature

My personal favourite among the subjects that I've selected is English Literature. Since I was in grade 7 or so, I've had an ambition of becoming a lecturer and a writer by the side of it. One of my hobbies related to my ambition is writing. 

                      Yes, since I was in grade 7, I've written a descent number of essays, poems, novellas, story books and plays. I love to read plays written by legendary playwrights like William Shakespeare and Anton Chekhov. My favourite play till date has always been the famous drama written by Anton Chekhov, The Bear, and when I lately discovered that it is also contained in the O/L English Literature syllabus, I was pretty excited to engage in a deep analysis of it. When it comes to Literary sources like short stories and poems, I've got no hesitation in considering people like Tissa Abeysekara and Patrick Fernando as local greats. 

                     Since I was 6 years old, I've shared a great interest in cricket. The first time I started getting interested in the sport was when I saw my father playing for a club. Since then my journey with the bat and ball kicked off, and I'm pretty sure that I've watched over 5000 cricket matches till date. After getting to know the technical and professional side of cricket, I've admired a cricketer who instantly caught my sight with his undeniable talent and his infinite passion for the game. He's been my favourite since 2019 world cup, and he is none other than Virat Kohli. His life story and the discipline that he has maintained to stay at the top of the sport for so many years has really inspired me. As a youngster playing cricket, I constantly keep on listening to his motivational quotes and I also watch his batting videos to try and replicate him. He is considered as the greatest batsman of this generation, and he keeps on inspiring many youngsters like me around the world. 

                      Just like Virat Kohli is the best in his sport, my goal is to become the best in my future ambition aswell.
